Frequently asked questions
-
Yes! Each sibling or household member gets a $10 discount on their monthly invoice.
-
Life happens! Please give Rock U at least 24 hours notice of a known absence and we will issue you a free make up lesson to redeem when it works for you. Rescheduling between your schedule and a Rock U teachers availability can be difficult, so a virtual lesson, lesson with a different teacher, or pre-recorded lesson may need to be issued. Refunds are not available for missed lessons. You are allowed 1 make-up lesson per 90 days, and can redeem 4 make-up lessons in a calendar year.
-
All payments are done online via auto-pay with the credit card you securely place on file through Opus. Once you register for lessons, you will receive an invite to join Opus, where you can update your credit card on file at any time. No cash is available onsite. A 20% late fee will be applied to any invoice more than 15 days past due.
-
No worries! If you have 4 lessons in a month or 5 lessons in a month, you will still only be paying the monthly rates listed above. Rock U lessons are priced assuming a student will receive 4 lessons per month.
-
Yes! The holiday schedule is posted throughout the school. Tuition is based on an average of four lessons per month, so when a month includes five lesson weeks, that extra lesson is included at no additional charge. Those extra lessons throughout the year offset the occasional holiday closures, keeping your tuition simple and consistent month to month.

Nope! Rock U has instruments you can try out during your first lesson or two. Your Rock U teacher will then guide you to what they think would be some good options to consider purchasing.
-
We recommend that piano students know how to read their ABC’s to help them learn note names. Drum students must be 8+.
-
Nope! But we can pretty much guarantee that once they see how much fun Rock U concerts are (and how low-pressure they are) they will definitely want to!
-
A minimum of 14 days prior to the end of the month is required to notify Rock U via email or phone if you would like to cancel or discontinue lessons. Lessons then end at the end of the current month you are in.
Lessons cancelled after a payment has been made will NOT be refunded. You may either finish out the month of lessons that were paid for, or apply that payment to a future month of lessons. Refunds will not be offered under any circumstances.
